The book is aimed at boys and men but with such valuable lessons from various walks of life, there is something in it for everyone! In life, we often face many challenges and hardships. From relationship mistakes, identity issues, not fitting society’s mold of who they believe we should be, or simply not knowing what our next step is in life. Please know that while you fail, while you stumble, while you are trying to navigate through what’s happening in your life, understand that you are not alone in your journey! In this book, you will read open and honest stories about the everyday man, who has had his share of struggles but found his way to become the best version of himself that he could ever be. Recently, Mr. Braswell was on our show talking about Black Dads Count. During our conversation, Mr. Braswell talked about: – Some background about Fathers Incorporated About the Black Dads Count Project … According to a report on Men’s Fertility and Fatherhood (2014) by the U.S. Census there are 8.2 Million Black (only) fathers in the U.S. It is hard to fathom that ALL of these dads are absent, however that is what the societal narrative would lead you to believe. 2020 marks the 55th Anniversary of the 1965 Moynihan Report. The controversial report argued that combating poverty required strengthening families in the United States—particularly through positively impacting Black men. The 2020 U.S. Census provides an opportunity to ensure that Black Dads and their families are represented properly in the count of U.S. citizens. Dark Girls, the documentary feature has created a national and international sensation with the development of a movie that details the dynamics of color in the nation and world. This documentary was developed by D.Channsin Berry and Actor Bill Duke. After some great grassroots marketing which included showing the movie in cities around America, Africa, the Caribbean and England the response was incredible with over 11 million hits on the site and 140,000 Facebook friends to date. The movie premiered on Oprah’s OWN network with over one million views on the introductory network showing in June 2013 clearly establishing itself as a brand in the American landscape. Director/Producer D.Channsin Berry is back with DARK GIRLS 2…Deep, Dark and Perfect Berry says… ”I’m concentrating more on the triumphs and the beauty on Dark and Light Skin Women and Girls. There will be still some stories of pain and heartache, because many Women and Young girls are still dealing with lack of self-esteem issues because of Colorism. The Big question is… How can Women and Girls get to the place of HEALING and become their higher selves? so, they make better decisions about their lives. So, the documentary film will feature REAL Women, Historians and other Professionals and their recommended procedures for moving past the pain. For example: Focusing on the here and now and not the past. Expressing your pain out loud. Making the decision to “let it go” through FORGIVENESS.” Dark Girls 2 Emotional, yes, Funny yes, Educational yes, Truthful yes…our plan is to give way to more deep rooted conversations, which could lead to healing and acceptance for women and men. THE DR. VIBE SHOW - BLACK MAN FROM NORTH OF THE 49TH ... BLACK MAN FROM SOUTH OF THE 49TH - KOBE GAYLE LISA OPRAH SNOOP BILL SUSAN - FEBRUARY 9 - 2020
First, it was Gayle King’s interview with former WNBA star Lisa Leslie. During the interview, Ms. King asked Ms. Leslie, who was a good friend Kobe Bryant, about Bryant’s 2003 rape case. The pushback against Gayle King’s interview has been huge. Then Ms. King’s good friend, Oprah Winfey, appeared on the Today show and was very emotional saying that Ms. King “is not doing well” amid the backlash she has received over her recent interview with former WNBA star Lisa Leslie following the death of Kobe Bryant, in which she asked Leslie about Bryant’s 2003 rape case. Then The Snoop Dogg pushed back against Gayle King (and Oprah) for asking about the rape allegation against Kobe Bryant and defended several high-profile accused sexual predators including Bill Cosby. Then Bill Cosby thanked Snoop Dogg for calling his freedom. Now, Susan Rice, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations who also served as national security adviser under former President Barack Obama took to Twitter Friday night saying to Snoop Dogg “Snoop, back the **** off. You come for @GayleKing, you come against an army. You will lose, and it won’t be pretty.” Then Snoop clarified his original statement and then apologized. Dr. Vibe (Canada) and Kinte Fergerson (United States) hosted the conversation Kobe, Gail, Lisa, Oprah, Snoop, Bill And Susan. During the conversation, the topics that were discussed were: – Kinte shared about how much Kobe meant to Los Angeles and his reaction to Kobe’s death Please feel free to email The Dr. Vibe Show™ at dr.vibe@thedrvibeshow.com Please feel free to “Like” the “The Dr. Vibe Show” Facebook fan page here God bless, peace, be well and keep the faith,
