Steven Kiges (pron. Key-jez) is the co-founder and director of The Coach Training AcademyThe Coach Training Academy is a professional, International Coach Federation accredited coach training school. Graduates have gone on to both build very successful solo coaching practices as well as taking their coaching skills to corporate positions including Microsoft, Google, and NASA, just to name a few.

Steve is a is an experienced Master coach with over 5000 coaching hours and over 10,000 hours mentoring people that want to become exceptional coaches or as he puts it “artistic agents of change”. To the coaching world, he brings both his own past struggles of growing up in a very dysfunction home, depressed, suicidal and at one point topping the scales at over 410 pounds. Professionally his first career was as a professional musician having attended The Juilliard School, playing various orchestras and as a university lecturer. After leaving music he then went on to build one of the largest Dental Software companies in North America and after selling that, followed his life’s passion of helping others. Dedicating himself to his core philosophy that “no one breezes through life…we all have our unique struggles. With the right support and environment, everyone can live life with purpose and passion often exceeding what they think is possible for themselves. His life is a testament of that philosophy.

To coaching, and coach training Steven brings a full background in neurosciences including; crisis counseling, emotional intelligence, Time Line Specialist, Master of Communication and a trainer of Neuro-Linguistic Programming.

Alexander Williams is from Lancaster, California. That should tell you a lot. Nonetheless, he also feels it’s necessary to state that he’s a Boston Celtics fan, an avid thinker, and a sap for experience. He cares about his disadvantaged Afrikan and Native American communities and worries that tomorrow could very well be his last day here on Earth. He’s a communist, an anarchist, and a pacifist. He was always the smart kid that you would tell your younger brothers about and the only guy you know with Dr. Seuss Chucks. He also raps, but then again he also writes, and then again he also acts, so he just does a lot of things.

Dr. Jonathan P. Higgins is a speaker, educator and thought leader.

With over ten years of experience in education, social justice and grassroots movements, Dr. Higgins is focused on public speaking and working with the media on issues centered on people of color, LGBTQ storytelling and marginalized communities. His work has been included on Blavity, The Root, Efniks, Wear Your Voice and Talkspace. Dr. Higgins serves as Campus Pride’s Curriculum Educator, is a Lambda Literary writing fellow and a regular contributor to SOULE.

Dr. Higgins is committed to using his voice to highlight and bring focus to the issues that affect both the Black and LGBTQ community. In September of 2016, Dr. Higgins launched a YouTube channel where he posts weekly videos about race and identity issues, and began sharing pieces of his a mini-documentary highlighting stories related to his life as a queer Black man growing up in the inner city of San Bernardino. This mini-documentary also covers his journey to receiving his doctoral degree.

Dr. Higgins has spoken at universities including Kansas State, Colgate University, UCSD, and UCLA. He has consulted with Purdue University to restructure their Safe Zone program and has given several presentations within the California State University system about what can be done to better serve LGBTQ+ students. Dr. Higgins continues to lecture all over the country on topics related to intersectionality, race, gender and sexuality and has gained attention from websites including Attn: and Vox. In April of 2017, Dr. Higgins gave his first TEDx talk on how to unlearn fear and develop personal power, leading to an op-ed piece on Splinter.com.

Dr. Higgins was born in Los Angeles, California and graduated from California State University, San Bernardino with a Bachelors of Arts in Communication Studies and a minor in Women’s Studies. He also holds a Masters of Arts in Management from the University of Redlands, where he graduate top three in his class and was inducted into the Whitehead Leadership Society.

Dr. Higgins recently completed his Educational Doctorate of Leadership in Justice from the University of Redlands where he wrote his dissertation on the first year experiences of queer men of color in higher education. STUFF are live online conversations hosted by Dr. Vibe (Canada) and Jazz Keyes (United States) about current events and culture from a black woman’s and black man’s POV.

Jazz Keyes is a clinical psychologist, certified life coach, author, and motivational speaker. Recognized for her work as a community activist, Keyes has spent the last 10 years of her career focusing on empowering the lives of others. With an intense focus on women, people of color, and children, Keyes has been honored as a Neighborhood Hero by ComEd for her involvement in numerous community-based initiatives.

As a psychologist and life coach, Keyes supplies clients with the necessary tools and techniques to awaken their divine energy, heal their open wounds and create an aura of love, compassionate and tranquility.

For the last two years, Jazz Keyes has managed to grow her brand as a dating and relationship writer for two major media platforms, JET Magazine and Black and Married with Kids. Her first book, If We Knew Better: Soul Cries of Women Past and Present, is available here.

Ms. Keyes is preparing to begin her PHD program Fall 2017. She will be studying to receive her Doctor of Philosophy in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Couples Therapy. Keyes has devoted a great deal of her time and energy on mastering the art of communication to create healthy, dynamic, long-lasting relationships and to help others do the same.

Jazz Keyes is an aspiring bestselling author. Focusing on spirituality, emotional empowerment, and love, Keyes hopes to one day deliver soul healing messages as a television personality and international inspirational speaker.

Photography has always been an interest of Lawrence’s. As a kid, he used to take my parent’s camera and shoot any and everything. He loved it! My parents, not so much. He didn’t have a clue what he was doing and back in those days it was film.

After completing York University’s Business Administration program, Lawrence started my career in radio. Not on-air though, but in sales. Always trying to do things differently, Lawrence put his hobby of photography to use for my clients and Lawrence Kerr Photography was born. As my interest grew he took courses with the world renowned Scott Kelby and Joe McNally and night classes as well as workshops.

Dr. Stephen de Wit is a Board Certified Sexologist through the American College of Sexologists. He holds a Master of Public Health in Human Sexuality and a Doctorate of Human Sexuality. Toronto’s Hassle Free Clinic is where Stephen started as a sexual health counselor and now travels both nationally and internationally speaking about sexual empowerment. Spinster: also referred to as an old maid, a woman who has never been married and is considered past the “normal” age of marrying.

Urban Spinster is our safe space for single women to create our OWN agenda, dispelling societal myths and redefining the word Spinster.

The driving force behind Urban Spinster is Sadia Sanders. Ms. Sanders is a full-time employee in healthcare finance, entrepreneur and homeowner while volunteering my time as a member of multiple organizations participating in community projects for over a decade.

The information Ms. Sanders gives at the Urban Spinster is not to prepare single women for a mate, but to ensure that they are thriving and whole in the meantime. Only you can define your meantime. Is that marriage or not? She doesn’t know. But she is celebrating our single life now.

Dr. Angela Dye is the developer of the Empowerment Starts Here brand. With it, she brings together the social sciences and education to promote social change and resistance for disadvantaged communities. Through her brand, she is a published author, creator of an emerging theory for teaching and learning, developer of K12 curriculum for higher order thinking, and is a former charter school designer and operator. Dr. Dye holds a bachelor’s degree in social science and education, a master’s degree in school and instructional leadership, and a PhD in education. She currently serves as an adjunct professor where she teaches graduate students about theories on human development, learning and leadership. She is also a public speaker and serves as a life coach for those living in the margins. Finally, she is the Host and Executive Producer of the Empowerment Starts Here podcast where she talks weekly about power, social change and disrupting the margins.
