Michael J. Durkin is an author, speaker and dedicated maniac committed to the strengthening of Men, Women, Families and the Planet.

Self-Labeled as a “Contemporaneous Intuitive”, Michael specializes in working with live audiences and “downloads” answers, theology, wisdom and weaves his own personal experience into his teachings on Marriage, Business Success, Parenting, Fitness and overall Masculinity on request! He is passionate about keeping families together, making marriages joyful, giving children a place to grow and learn – and he is fan of putting the hot, seductive, alluring SEX back into Marriages where it belongs!

He is the author of 8 business books and has spoken in front of audiences as little as 6 people and as large as 26,000 people! He is the creator of the Men of Honor program which he hosts Monday through Friday at 6:30 a.m. Eastern from his studio in the back woods of CT. To date he has recorded over 190 half-hour messages on sex, honor, commitment, eating right, masculinity, getting a ripped and shredded body, romancing your wife and how to keep your mouth shut so that your marriage survives and possibly even thrives! The overall goal of the Men of Honor audios is to “help a Man be a better Man than he was yesterday!”

Michael Durkin has survived and re-built his life in the face of losing a daughter at birth, the collapse of a 20 year marriage, raising his oldest Son as an “only” Father for 14 years and having his youngest Son withheld from him for 7 years! His wisdom comes from a deep belief that God has a plan for his life and that his challenges have toughened him and developed him into a Man who can lead, counsel and teach other Men by revealing his experience, strength and hope.

Aisha K. Staggers had her first major publication, an album review, in The New Haven Register while just a sophomore in high school. Another series of reviews published in The Hartford Courant followed. By the time she reached college, Aisha was writing for the literary magazine and interning at a local radio station, ABC-affiliate as a writer in the news department and in the A&R department of an independent record company.

As a graduate student at Fisk University, Aisha asked Dr. Raymond Winbush to chair her thesis because 1) he was one of the most renowned voices in black culture and academia, and 2) he was a Prince fan. His scholarship and guidance led Aisha to an early career as a professor of social sciences and later an administrator in higher education.

Aisha has also served as a director of education and policy research centers and on the staff of legislative commissions. She previously served on the Executive Board of the CT Young Democrats’ Women’s Caucus, an avid campaigner and has remained active in politics and public policy.

Jill Jones is our special guest for this conversation. Ms. Jones is activist, feminist, former collaborator with Paisley Park.

During the March 14, 2020 edition of Staggers State Of Things, the ladies talked about:

– Coronavirus
– The American Democratic Party nomination for the president
– The Andrew Gillum controversy

Over the last two-and-a-half years, a medical surgeon, a police officer, a former college professor, a life coach, a professional athlete, a child and youth worker, a community support worker and several entrepreneurs from Toronto have quietly been working on a joint venture. This venture is being launched in the form of a book which they co-authored. The name of the book is KNew Me: 10 Men 10 Stories of Perseverance.

This informative book reveals stories and insights from many different perspectives, mostly from the authors personal anecdotes. Provided are methods and mindsets that can be used to overcome or better yet circumvent many dead-end decisions. The book is aimed at boys and men but with such valuable lessons from various walks of life, there is something in it for everyone!

In life, we often face many challenges and hardships. From relationship mistakes, identity issues, not fitting society’s mold of who they believe we should be, or simply not knowing what our next step is in life.

On some days, it feels as if everything is absolutely great! Other days it appears we’ve stumbled and fallen and no matter how much we try, it is so difficult to get back up.

Please know that while you fail, while you stumble, while you are trying to navigate through what’s happening in your life, understand that you are not alone in your journey! In this book, you will read open and honest stories about the everyday man, who has had his share of struggles but found his way to become the best version of himself that he could ever be.

This book is not about 10 men who fell down along their journey of life. This book is about 10 individuals who after falling, through resiliency, tenacity and discipline, found it within themselves to stand back up!

Christopher Duff is a speaker, entrepreneur and youth advocate fiercely committed to helping young people thrive in life and become the best version of themselves. He is the founder and president of Inspired Initiatives Inc. – a grassroots youth development firm that works to help young people develop the skills, knowledge and competencies. He is also the co-founder of The Brilliance Academy.

Recently, Christopher was live on our show talking about his contribution to KNew Me: 10 Men 10 Stories of Perseverance.

During our conversation, Christopher talked about:

– Some of his background including what he wants to accomplish before he leaves the earth
– Being physically and sexually abused when he was a child which lead to a struggle with identity and wanting to commit suicide and how he overcame this situation
– Some of his journey including working at McDonald’s before becoming an entrepreneur
– How did he find out about the KNew Me Movement and his experience writing his chapter in the book
– The importance of reflection in his life
– “Vulnerability is the gateway to strength”
