Serena Wills is a native of Queens, New York and currently resides in the Washington, DC area. She holds a BA in Policy Studies from Syracuse University, an MPA from Virginia Tech, an MA in Health and Wellness Coaching and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Workplace Wellness from Maryland University of Integrative Health.

Serena is also a National Board-Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) through the National Board of Health and Wellness Coaches, an Associate Certified Coach through International Coach Federation and is the owner of Divine Wryte Wellness (her health and wellness coaching practice). Overall she’s a self-published author, poet, health and wellness coach, a publishing coach and a workplace wellness innovator.

Serena has three poetry books, “The Awakening, Pieces of Life Volume 2” released December 2019, “Crying Tears of Teal” released in fall of 2017 and her first poetry book titled, “Reconstruction, Pieces of Life, Volume 1” which was released in 2014 and is in several anthologies. She’s also a health and wellness writer for blogs and other online and print publications. She designs and facilitates workshops on self-publishing to assist aspiring writers and published authors and on health and wellness topics to assist people with stress reduction and how to realistically obtain optimal health.

She’s a mother to her beautiful son and is an advocate for Ovarian Cancer, GYN Cancers and Lyme Disease research and is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Aisha K. Staggers had her first major publication, an album review, in The New Haven Register while just a sophomore in high school. Another series of reviews published in The Hartford Courant followed. By the time she reached college, Aisha was writing for the literary magazine and interning at a local radio station, ABC-affiliate as a writer in the news department and in the A&R department of an independent record company.

As a graduate student at Fisk University, Aisha asked Dr. Raymond Winbush to chair her thesis because 1) he was one of the most renowned voices in black culture and academia, and 2) he was a Prince fan. His scholarship and guidance led Aisha to an early career as a professor of social sciences and later an administrator in higher education.

Aisha has also served as a director of education and policy research centers and on the staff of legislative commissions. She previously served on the Executive Board of the CT Young Democrats’ Women’s Caucus, an avid campaigner and has remained active in politics and public policy.

Ms. Jones is an activist, feminist, and a former collaborator with Paisley Park.

Denise Kaigler is the co-founder of October’s Black Professionals Month, a 31-day platform featuring virtual programs, events and recognitions designed to build strong collaborations, proportionate leadership and sustained wealth among black professionals.

Ms. Kaigler, a career coach and seasoned brand strategist with more than 30 years of experience, is also the founder and principal of MDK Brand Management LLC., a firm that helps organizations and individuals overcome challenges and reach their professional or business goals. Ms. Kaigler’s company also works with Massachusetts correctional facilities to help current and former inmates remake their brand and rebuild their lives.

Ms. Kaigler is the author of Forty Dollars and a Brand: How to Overcome Challenges, Defy the Odds and Live Your Awesomeness. The book is a professional development guide highlighting brand-building tips and steps designed to help readers define their brand and achieve their goals. Denise Kaigler is also a certified and award-winning digital marketer with an expertise in advanced digital marketing techniques and online lead generation. Prior to founding her company, Ms. Kaigler held senior executive and C-Suite positions in the corporate world at multi-billion dollar companies, including Reebokadidas GroupNintendo, and Boston Scientific.

During her tenure at Reebok, Ms. Kaigler helped launch the signature product of numerous A-list celebrities, including Venus WilliamsScarlett Johansson50 Cent, and Jay-Z, with whom she has traveled to Europe to introduce his S. Carter by Rbk footwear. While serving as senior vice president at Boston Scientific, she oversaw corporate branding and brand management, and led the global rebranding for the medical device giant. She created its current tagline, Advancing science for life.

Denise Kaigler began her career in television news. Throughout her career, she has been honored with numerous awards and recognitions, including twice being named among the Most Influential Women in Corporate by Savoy Magazine.

Ms. Kaigler, who has an adult daughter and son, currently resides in the greater Boston, Massachusetts area.

Jerome Hutchinson, Jr. is the visionary and co-founder of Black Professionals Month (BPM), an unprecedented annual initiative throughout October recognizing Black professional excellence worldwide. BPM will also convene Black professionals to build strong collaborations, greater roles of leadership, and sustained wealth. Mr. Hutchinson made history when he launched WYCS-TV, Kentucky’s first African American-owned television station in his hometown of Louisville, Ky. WYCS-TV signed on-air March 6, 1996. As a serial entrepreneur, Jerome Hutchinson’s business interests have included broadcasting, information technology, retailing, and a marketing consultancy.

Mr. Hutchinson has also enjoyed a successful career as a radio executive from 2002 through 2008, serving as General Sales Manager for three of the nation’s top five urban radio stations: Houston’s KMJQ–FM, Majic 102, Atlanta’s WVEE–FM, V–103, Miami’s WEDR–FM, 99 JAMZ.
